Summary: Epic Mickey 2 The Power of Two Wii U is set a few years after the events of the first game where Mickey defeated The Mad Doctor. Returning to the Wasteland, despite having been believed to have been destroyed in the events of the first game, The Mad Doctor initially appears to be trying to make amends for his actions from before and assists Oswald with repair damage to land caused by earthquakes. Shortly after The Mad Doctor’s help, the damage worsens and it is suspected that his actions were not benevolent, but rather he has a plan up his sleeve. The residents choose to call on Mickey to once again save the day and wield the magical paint and thinner spraying paintbrush. Working side by side with Oswald the two of them seek the truth and to repair the damages caused by The Mad Doctor.
Wii U Exclusive Features: Wii U exclusive features have not been revealed yet, but it will of course likely utilize the Wii u tablet controller in innovative ways. Unlike the previous installment in the series, this game will not be a Nintendo exclusive. As a result, the game will not be build and designed for a Nintendo platform exclusively and the specs may not exactly line up like the original did with the Wii. Offering multiplayer or a partner if you choose to play alone, will give the Wii U tablet a large degree of options to use for playing.
Social Play: Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two Wii U offers multiplayer this time around. Allowing another player to play as Oswald, puzzles and challenges will be expanded and team work will become essential. Oswald will be more than just a playable character, but vital to the success of Mickey whether played with a friend or automated. Disney has always been about a social experience, and offering this to the Epic Mickey franchise will be a step forward.
Presentation: Epic Mickey 2 Wii U will regrettably not be another Nintendo exclusive, and therefore not designed specifically for the Wii U’s specifications, but with the first Epic Mickey receiving high reviews that commended its graphics, sound and game play, Epic Mickey 2 will likely follow in the same manner. The screen shots that have already come out shows that the game will live up to the first game and be a must own experience for the Wii U.
