Demonstrated at E3, Super Mario 3D World pulls a lot from the Mario Land 3D game on the Nintendo 3DS. This game, however, will be multi-player and allow up to 4 players at once. The new cat power up was heavily focused on and caught many people’s attention.

What do you think of Mario becoming a cat? Is that better than a frog? How about the raccoon?

Of notice at E3 was the addition of the hover kart. At special locations in certain maps, the hover feature will be automatically activated and allow the player to hover above ground in their frenzied race for first place. Bikes will also be brought back, having made their first appearance in Mario Kart for the Wii.

Online play has also been confirmed and has been stated to combine the best of all modes for an optimal online and global gaming experience.

Megaman is no stranger to seeing action on Nintendo consoles, but this will be the first time that the character has been playable side by side with other Nintendo characters.

Early footage shows Megaman without his helmet in a throw back to Megaman 2 in terms of style and design. The character is not pixelated and takes on the appearance of PSP remakes of the original games. His arm cannon is also featured as one of his special attacks. Other attacks revealed is the slide originally used in Megaman 3 and some kind of dodge move.

The plain white (possibly other colors available with customization) female instructor from the Wii Fit game has been revealed as a playable fighter in Smash Brother’s Next for the Wii U.

Wii Fit was a popular fitness game that took advantage of a balance board peripheral to monitor your health sensors. Popular at Christmas time for many years, and seeing a sequel and an announced sequel for the Wii U, it wasn’t expected that the plain characters would be brought forward into the Nintendo universe much further.

What are your thoughts on this character? Will you be playing as Wii Fit Instructor?

So far Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong have been revealed to be playable characters. No word yet on whether past members of the Kong family will make an appearance as playable characters or NPC’s of some kind.

Initial screenshots show that game play will accurately reflect the title of Tropical Freeze, in that penguins and seals have been shown to be inhabiting Donkey Kong’s tropical island.

Speculation has been going for months on what project Retro Studios was up to next, and with Tropical Freeze slated for a November release, it looks like they have been hard at work on bringing DK to life on next generation technology.

It seems the long delayed and hyped third installment in the Pikmin series needed more development time. It does take more time to put together new species of Pikmin, including the new pink one that not only flies, but it is now revealed to be able to carry items as well.

The game is now set for a North American August 4th release date. The new box art was also revealed:

The game is said to use the GamePad to increase interactivity within the game. Suggested concepts includes map editing, touch-screen hacking, weapon enhancements, and hub based activities. This version of the game will also include additional bonus features such as developer commentary and in-game guides.

Additional in-game improvements have been made and the Tong’s Rescue mission and the Missing Link chapter have been integrated into the main game.

There is currently no release date for the game.

Watch Dogs is a techy action based adventure game. It is anticipated to be released later this year.

Ubisoft, in an attempt to calm Wii U gamers, announced that they are working on an exclusive Wii U demo. They released a statement thanking everybody for feedback in regards to the game, while also recognizing frustration that many must feel.

The company is quoted as saying they are, “working with the development team to provide you with a new, exclusive demo for the Wii U soon. Stay tuned for more.”

There were very few details provided about this untitled RPG with the exception of some minor footage. The combat system and gameplay is seemingly comparable to Xenoblade Chronicles. Some of the footage indicated that multiplayer may be included. The game features a fantasy themed visual approach with a hint of mecha based technology.

While no name was released for the game, the giant red “X” at the end of the footage may indicate that the game is another entry into the Xenoblade franchise.
